BME to Host Workshop on Industrial Applications of 5G and Artificial Intelligence on February 25, 2025

As part of the EU co-funded AI EDIH project, Budapest University of Technology and Economics is organizing a comprehensive professional workshop on industrial applications of 5G and artificial intelligence on February 25, 2025. The event aims to facilitate businesses' digital transformation, with a special focus on startups, SMEs, and small mid-cap enterprises.

The BME 5G Laboratory workshop will provide comprehensive insight into the latest 5G and AI advancements. Commencing at 13:30, the event will introduce the AI EDIH project’s services, followed by a series of presentations covering mobile evolution, AI applications in 5G, and the potential of 5G Mobile Edge Computing. The program will conclude with practical demonstrations, allowing participants to engage firsthand with BME’s private 5G network and its specific industrial applications. The workshop will take place in the B wing of BME’s “Q” building (2 Magyar Tudósok körútja, Room 203).

The AI EDIH, operating with co-financing from the EU and the Hungarian state, offers its partners a comprehensive portfolio of services, ranging from professional training and business development consultancy to technology transfer. The workshop presents a unique opportunity for participating businesses to join the AI EDIH project, granting them free access to various services, including training, expert consultancy, and innovation support. On-site, attendees will have the chance to engage in personal discussions about the AI EDIH services and explore potential R&D collaborations with the university in 5G and artificial intelligence.
