A 12. Világkormányzati Csúcstalálkozó (World Governments Summit 2025) február 11-13. között került megrendezésre Dubajban, ahol a mesterséges intelligencia (AI) került a középpontba.
At the summit, Google CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted the significance of the Gemini model and AI's role in increasing efficiency, while IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva pointed out global differences in AI adaptation. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence of the United Arab Emirates, emphasized: We want to create an inclusive vision of what AI will look like for the world and include voices that don't necessarily feature in every other conversation globally.
Specific AI application areas were also discussed at the event, focusing on healthcare and the public sector. Pascal Soriot, CEO of AstraZeneca, emphasised the role of AI in early disease diagnosis and increasing the efficiency of drug development. He highlighted that artificial intelligence is already helping with the early detection of lung cancer based on X-rays and contributes to making medical decision-making faster and more accurate. Mike Sicilia, Executive Vice President of Oracle, highlighted the connections between AI and public services, stating that data management is at the heart of every AI strategy. For governments, the first step is the structured aggregation and vectorisation of data to make AI genuinely applicable in citizen services.
